She was always there, just right outside the game. Picking flowers near by the fence, watching her brothers play. There was never any intention towards her raising, to love football. It wasn’t for girls—at least, not where she grew up.
But she felt something, she felt the game. The energy, the passion, the way the streets became a stadium. She listened—the shouts, the silence after a loss. And somehow, without realizing, the game found its way into her.
She never played. But football became part of her.🌼
